Description

Will the Doctor become the patient…?

Dr. Cliff Monroe was born and bred in the little town of Painted Springs.

As a youngster, he fought his way through two ranch wars and made staunch friends, along with some implacable enemies.

Whilst studying to become a fully qualified physician, Monroe tried city life for a time but the pull of the West was too strong and he inevitably returned to his home county.

But his homecoming was not what he had envisioned. Monroe saw the changes immediately as he rode into Painted Springs, which now boasted a new bank, church and saloon.

Unsure what to make of this progress, he decided to introduce himself to the town’s new banker and faced an unexpected level of hostility from the stranger.

John Forseman felt hatred on sight for this handsome homecomer which was heightened when he realised Monroe was the very man who, before Forseman’s time, had abandoned his wife, Nancy, at the altar.

This violent introduction set the tone for Monroe’s re-establishment in Painted Springs and it soon become clear that Forseman had the town in his pocket through control of its finances.

The Doctor found patients hard to find and encountered plenty of trouble at every turn but he refused to give up without a fight.

And a fight was certainly brewing as Forseman successfully set different factions of Painted Springs against each other in his own quest for power and money.

Monroe and his few allies faced objections and violence from the very community they were trying to save but they knew Painted Springs had good at the heart of it.

But would they be enough to save it?
