Domesday Book Beyond The Censors

Historian Arthur Wright is back with his third work of historical research: Domesday Book Beyond the Censors. Following on from the success of his previous published works about the Domesday Book, Fools or Charlatans (Matador 2014) and Hoax! (Matador, 2009), Arthur returns to analyse the Domesday Book and explain why readers should change their understanding of both the Norman Conquest and King William.

Arthur explores the way in which current Domesday Book studies have poisoned higher education, he questions why universities, scholars and even the media have censored this first ever reading of our greatest national treasure? He argues that they refuse either to read or to challenge his methodology because, in his opinion, they have promoted a religion and not a scientific process and are frightened by the exposure of the Domesday Cult they have created.

Arthur has already published the method by which these 900-year-old surveys can finally be read. However, in Domesday Book Beyond the Censors, Arthur more specifically extracts indirect economic evidence from the statistical matrix he has already deciphered in order to reveal industries, economic development, and the real genius of William the Conqueror, together with Saxon England as the most advanced Kingdom in Europe.
