This is an excellent picture book, I really enjoyed it and it will definitely be a firm favourite.
I love the facts that the book holds as well as the fun games to find the monsters - 5 stars
Boston Monsters: A Search-and-Find Book is written by Carine Laforest and illustrated by Lucile Danis Drouot. This book is part of the City Monsters series, which "takes you on a sightseeing adventure. Find the hidden little monsters as you discover big-city landmarks."
As an interactive story, children will learn about the city of Boston, as they search and find adorable monsters throughout the colorful illustrations of city landmarks, such as the Freedom Trail, Boston Public Library, New England Aquarium, and Fenway Park.
According to the back cover, "Boston is such a great place to live that even little monsters have taken up residence there.... Have fun spotting them all as you explore some of Boston's most iconic landmarks and sights!"
This easy-to-read board book is a charming children's travel book, which is geared towards younger readers, particularly ages three to eight.
Note: I received this book from NetGalley, which is a program designed for bloggers to write book reviews in exchange for books, yet the opinions expressed in this review are my own.
I read this book with my 8 year old daughter to see what her opinion would be. She is a little beyond the look and find stage but she still absolutely loved this book as well as the rest in the series. She thought that it is a great book for little kids because it was a fun book that taught you stuff too. I would totally buy this book for my nephews and nieces. We had fun pointing out the monsters and we also learned some new facts along the way.
Boston has many historic sites to see including the Make Way for Ducklings statue, and a chance to throw tea into Boston Harbor.

In another edition of the “find monsters, not Waldo” books, the hunt leads the reader to places like the ducklings sculpture in the Public Garden, New England Aquarium, Bunker Hill, and the Tea Party port, and ends up being subversively educational. If you’re a monster in Boston, where would you hang out? Fenway, of course, home of the biggest of all monsters.
These were harder to find than the previous books, because I couldn’t tell if some of them were monsters or not; not enough detail, or too far away.
An engaging and colourful book. I can see lots of parents having fun searching for the monsters with their children. The book is informative but makes learning enjoyable for children. Another great book in the series.
Absolutely darling. Find-the-monsters among illustrations and information about local sites. The aquarium tank was my favorite!
