Not for All the Tea in China

It took Barnsley lad Chris Burrows 50 years to follow his Dad’s advice and have a go at setting up his own business. Written in the inimitable tone, voice and sense of humour of a typical 70-year-old Yorkshireman, Not For All The Tea in China, is the story of decades in self employment, which saw him travel across the UK, to Ireland, Latvia, Slovakia, Germany, Spain, France (where he settled down for a while), Liechtenstein, the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Russia, Italy, America and, of course, to China, and see, hear and experience things he never thought possible!

A world outside of Yorkshire… and plenty of memories to share with friends, family and peers. Chris’ friend bought him a Dictaphone and told him to record all his stories of adventure and travel to put into a book – which makes this memoir read as though you’re being chatted to by a friendly Yorkshireman regaling you with his life story (and the ‘foreign food’ he tried – or not - along the way!)

Chris invites you to join him as he reminisces about his travels around the world, meeting (in his words) some weird and wonderful people in some wonderful and weird places.
