Description
All bedtime routines look a little different, but whether we are big or small, we all have a bedtime. Some people give hugs and kisses, and others will sing lullabies or read a story. Some people will wish on a star, and others will do deep breathing to wind down. Pairing aspects of various bedtime routines with each letter of the alphabet, ABC Bedtime is a sweet read for both caregiver and child. This book is not only perfect for teaching toddlers their ABCs, but also for encouraging them to acknowledge that it's bedtime, get ready, and calm down their bodies and minds before going to bed. The book begins at A with the feeling of being wide awake and active, but after going through the calming A-to-Z bedtime routine, it ends at Z with being sound asleep and catching those ZZZs.
A few of the letters, from A to Z, are things families do together (saying goodnight, reading a story, tucking in), but many are things children can do on their own after the caregiver has left them for the night (thinking about the fun day ahead, or replaying a happy memory in their mind). This sweet read with soothing illustrations is sure to please the little ones, and with the consistency and the help of ABC Bedtime, caregivers can reduce the time spent on getting children to bed. A calmer, quicker bedtime makes the whole family happier and healthier!
The ABC for Me series presents a world of possibilities from A to Z and everything in between! For all little kids with big dreams, the endearing illustrations and mindful concepts in this series pair each letter of the alphabet with words that promote big dreams, inclusion, acceptance, healthy living, and other key concepts important to emotional well-being. Other books in the series include:
- ABC Mindful Me (2018)
- ABC What Can She Be? (2018)
- ABC Let's Celebrate You & Me (2021)
- ABC Helpful Me (2022)

ABC Bedtime by Erica Harrison 💤 This wonderful little book is perfect for snuggling in at night. The alphabet helps walk the kids through a bedtime routine and calm for bed. The illustrations as lovely without being overstimulating. My favorite part of this book is the diversity. There are kids of all colors and abilities, and different family types. I adore this book, and I think you will too. Coming Feb 8th.
Thank you to @NetGalley and @walterfoster for the opportunity to read and review this book.
This is such a great children's bedtime book! I have seen a lot, and my kids and I both really enjoyed this one. It goes through the ABCs in a creative way taking you through bedtime. I love how it is soothing, the colors and illustrations are engaging (my son kept pointing out things on every page), and the characters are diverse. I also liked how the book offered great ways for a child to calm down for bedtime. Overall, I loved and would h8ighly recommend this book for kids ages 0-4.
An excellent bedtime book! It's so soothing and reassuring, while also sneaking in a bit of alphabet/language practice at the same time. The text is soft and gentle and full of positive images to settle kids into sleep.
The illustrations are attractive and enhance the text nicely. A nice diversity of people and family types are represented. This could definitely be the core of a great wind-down routine and would be perfect for toddlers and pre-K children!
This sweetly and brightly illustrated book seems just right for toddlers. It is one of those titles that a child might listen to night after night as it helps them to transition to bedtime. In addition to the story, there is a letter and word on every page. This book makes a nice addition to the simple, bedtime story niche.
Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher. All opinions are my own.
A sweet little nighttime book
This book is a nighttime book for toddlers, supposed to both help learn ABCs and also get them ready for bed. I liked the illustrations. The texts are short and fun. I could see this being a hit with a lot of toddlers. Definitely a nice little book to have in your nighttime book collection.

A very sweet alphabet book about bedtime. With fun illustrations and a descriptor word for each letter that relates to bedtime, this will be a book you can read on repeat.
Thank you, Quarto Publishing Group USA Inc., for the advance reading copy.
The book is quite enjoyable and adorable at the same time considering the contents and the basic illustrations.
The book is the basic beginners' ABC book but it focuses on defining some of the most basic emotions and expressions. The idea is great and it works.
This was really cute, and would be a great book to prepare young children for bed. The illustrations were bright and colorful, and all of the words fit the theme of going to sleep perfectly.
This was a very fun story that I could see youngsters have become a favorite at bedtime. It was very good vocabulary within it that many would be able to relate to. Quite enjoyable.

Ohhh how very clever...
Parents can teach kids new words from the alphabet while getting them ready for bed.
Was a little disappointed with V but then again, I couldn't think of a better way to phrase it lol.
Thank you to @netgalley and @quarto.knows @quartocreates for this copy. Love it!
I loved this, it was so lovely, a great read for bedtime with my little nieces, full of beautiful, diverse illustrations and it really helps teach them a bedtime routine and to relax and settle down. A lovely addition to our nightstand
Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for a free copy for an honest opinion
This sweet book takes the reader through the alphabet with a letter appropriate suggestion for getting ready for sleep. The pictures are fantastic--colorful and fun. There are people of many races and family makeups including grandparents, gay parents, single parents, etc. While these pictures allow your imagination to determine the relationships involved they allow many children to see their own families within. Various pets are featured as well. My favorite letter is J for "just one more" as my own children always need just one more story! Highly recommend this book for an end of the day alphabet and soothe to sleep reminder.
