Description
Adventure is at the fingertips of anyone with an imagination wild enough to create it.
Winter and George: A Path Across the Sea is a story about two siblings who live by the ocean. One quiet night, their evening of stargazing is interrupted by the sudden appearance of a moonlight path across the water. They follow the path to its abrupt end where they encounter a creature that is not what it seems. Together the siblings face their fears, encouraging each other to be brave in their moments of doubt, and discover that friendship can be found even in the most unlikely of places.
A Path Across the Sea is just the first of Winter and George’s many adventures. Their stories highlight the importance of family and friendship, while also emphasizing the magical possibilities open to those with a wild imagination. Through their adventures, Winter and George will take readers on incredible journeys, teaching them to think outside of the box when faced with challenges and to practice kindness toward all creatures, big or small.

Featured Reviews
This book is about Winter and George who discovers a path on the surface of the ocean. Can they walk on it, and what’s waiting them on this mysterious path?
The characters got a fun adventure, and I think children will really like this. I particularly liked the twist at the end. The book’s artwork was well done, and it was an okay read.
Winter and George is a creative children’s book that follows the two title characters as they have an adventure at night. The adventure involves the moon, stars, ocean, and a large squid. The illustrations are mostly in the cool color palette—lots of blues and purples — and I think would appeal to a young reader. The story has one “scary” part, that ultimately resolves, but I think important to warn parents of younger children just in case. I give the story 3.5 stars. It’s extremely creative, but almost too out there (if that’s even possible).
