In our house, Gareth Peter is rapidly becoming our go to children’s picture book author. From his lovely picture book about having two dads, to his science fiction adoption story (Forever Star - superb) he writes important topics with a lightness of touch.
His current series the ‘Who Will You Meet…’ books are just pure fun. They follow a very specific rhythm in their rhyme structure that is super conducive to reading out loud to smaller children and Tim Budgen’s art is clear, colourful and totally adorable.
This latest book with some hilarious made up dinosaurs is excellent, and has a very re-readable quality to catch different details each time you whizz through.
Definitely worth a buy - and I won’t spoil the surprise, but the next book in the series (coming later this year) is even more up our… street!
