Elsie was sitting on the step watching people at a college party. When Dr. Auggie Owen came home from a long day in the ER he noticed her sitting next door. They were drawn to each other immediately. Elsie was not a party girl and was just waiting for her best friend to agree to go home. The longer she waited, the less she wanted to leave Dr. Owen who came over and introduced himself. Both Elsie and Auggie had scars from childhood experiences. Elsie lost her mother to cancer at a young age and her dad when she was a teen. All she had was her grandmother, Olive, and the love of music she shared with her family. Auggie lost his mother at a young age and when his father was lost without her, he started forcing the life of a surgeon on Auggie. Music was Elsie’s focus and medicine was Auggie’s focus. Somehow, he thought he could work things out, but the stars were not aligned. After breaking up they are reunited when Elsie is in a life-threatening accident and Dr. Owen is her trauma doctor. This is a great love story with both Elsie and Auggie trying their best to strengthen each other. Elsie is fragile and not secure with her beloved doctor. I loved the support of Olive and Elsie’s best friend. The special times Auggie created for Elsie were endearing. This book shows what love looks like and how we sometimes sacrifice ourselves to help those we love.

Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for the ARC!

If you like romance and drama (in the best possible way) go read this book! I’m a sucker for anything that has medical drama and this book exceeded my expectations. This book is a hidden gem!

This story is steamy and seductive with a healthy dose of action to keep you coming back for more. I am in love with this book.

This was an enjoyable read and also its a new to me author. I would read more of their work in the future though as I enjoyed both the writing style and the plot of the book with this one.

Elsie and Auggie. These two fell in love but their story ended on bad terms. This was an interesting story. Auggie is an ER doctor, and one busy night, a Jane Doe comes in badly injured, they are doing all they can to save this patients life, while doing what he can, he recognizes a scar and realizes its the love of his life, but he has not seen her in so many years. He is devastated and feels the urgency to save her life.

This story bounces into the past quite a bit, trying to get us to understand their relationship and to how it became to the present. I really enjoyed the story, I wanted to see what would happen. I felt the "grovel" the letter so deeply. The only downfall was that I wanted more of them in the present! Otherwise it was a good read, I enjoyed it.

I am in love! The back story made me love the characters more. How they met, how they fell in love, how they learn each others flaws and lastly how they broke up.

When Stars Align explains the struggle of being a Medical student, especially a Medical student with a relationship. The only reason I did not give this a higher rate because of its ending. It felt rush and I, as a reader, love epilogues (longer epilogues please).

Although the best part of this is, them meeting again in an expected way.

Thank you for the author, publisher and net galley for giving me the chance to read this advance copy of When Stars Align.

This was a new author for me . I never read anything from this author before but for the most part I really liked this book. I thought the whole story was amazing. I honestly didn’t want this book to end. I can’t wait to see what this author comes up with on the next book they write. I usually judge a book from the cover because for me it shows if it’s going to be interesting or not and I loved the book.

I love that this book talked about the struggles with being a doctor and finding time for family as well as struggling with self image and self confidence. Both main characters were strong in their own ways, as was Marie, the FMC’s best friend. The author did a wonderful job of creating strong male and female characters that I quickly got attached to. Happy reading!

You can't avoid fate. Every romance happens for a reason, and it is just meant to be no matter what crazy circumstances happen.

This book was heartbreaking in many parts, but I loved the character connections. It starts off in present day with a terrible accidentally that happens to Elsie and Auggie see her in his ER. Then we get their past connection and romance. I liked the occasional break to present day when the story goes into the flashback portion.

I found myself rooting for Auggie and Elsie's romance in the past and hopes of a second try in the future. The author does a great job at making the characters feel genuine.

The stars truly aligned to bring back that unexpected connection. Enjoyable and touching!

Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for providing me a copy of this book for my honest review.

You can say everything happens for a reason, or their love was meant to be, but the journey Elsie and Auggie take to get there is not easy. Your heart and emotions will take a beating, but this is a love story. The words drew me in, the story held my attention, and the characters stole my heart.

Thank you to NetGalley, and Atmosphere Press for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.

When Dr. Augustus Owens, a trauma specialist, sees the patient in front of him, he recognises his one and only love, Elsie McCormick, who has been seriously injured in a horrific car accident.
This book follows Elsie and Auggie who after dating in college, lose contact, but reconnect after the accident. Elsie lacks confidence whilst Auggie is abounding in confidence. Their relationship brings out the best in the other, but time and maturity, play a part in their changing relationship. A sweet, engaging story that will capture the reader’s attention and hold it.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Complimentary copy provided by the publisher and NetGalley for my honest opinion. This was a sweet romance that puts you in all the feels. This could be a young adult book.

There are ups and downs in this book as every romance has but I loved the way the suspense was maintained throughout the book. Why and how things happened, were revealed slowly, keeping the reader hooked to the book.

I definitely recommend this book if you are looking for something different than a cheesy romance.

This book follows the 2 characters Elsie and Augustus. Elsie is an aspiring singer/songwriter and Augustus is a trauma specialist. One fateful evening an unrecognisable Jane Doe is bought into the ER, only to turn out to be someone who Augustus knows.

I found this story quite an easy and quick read and the topics it discussed were very thought provoking. However, the last half an hour of the book seemed very rushed and came out of nowhere. The ending in particularly threw me off as it seemed to just end all of a sudden and I was surprised when there was not another chapter.

I would recommend this book, I thought it was cute and sweet and you really fall for the characters.
