I really like books that have interactions in them. This is the story of Michael always wondered what it would be like to meet aliens. Well one day he does unfortunately they are mischievous. It is a fun rhyming book and the illustrations are very cute and colorful. In the back of the book it has questions to ask related to aliens and space to form a dialog with your child or classroom. I also think the wording on the blackboard was very clever. I highly recommend this book for ages 3-7.

Learn about the cosmos in this adorable children's book as aliens emerge from a green mist and wreak havoc in young Michael's life. Space-obsessed Michael is pleased to find these comical creatures until they start sharing his deepest, darkest secrets!

Marilee Joy Mayfield pairs a fun rhyming system with scientific vocabulary to create intrigue, humour and excitement. Featuring bright, engaging illustrations by Randy Jennings, children will be sure to imitate the alien's silly speaking and giggle the whole way through!

The excitement is stifled only by the quirky choice of font in this book, which may add to the odd alien atmosphere, but ultimately interrupts flow of reading.

Nevertheless, a delightful sci-fi book, perfect for children with a fascination with space or those looking for a little laugh. With questions at the end to engage little readers in the story and check their comprehension.

I received a copy of this book through Netgalley. This is my honest review.

This was a rhyming story about a boy who is visited by aliens from space who are rather mischievous and basically ruin his show and tell at school. The rhymes flowed really well in spite of the formatting issues I encountered by reading a review copy. I imagine the formatting makes the line ends a bit more obvious in the published copy. And the story was fun.

The illustrations had 50s sitcom vibes. They felt very old school in style choices for the humans at least. They were very bold and colorful too though. Bright colors all over the place. I'd be okay reading this book a few times because it really was a fun story and there weren't serious issues with the rhyming tripping me up. Overall I give this book 3.97 out of 5 stars.
