This was one of my favorite reads of the year. So many twists and turns that kept you wanting more. I couldn’t read it fast enough and I was feening for more of the story. I hope there is going to be a second one! I love how the title of the book tied into the plot of the story.
In this riveting thriller, the author takes readers on a relentless journey through the dark underbelly of Milwaukee's violent crime wave. Attorney Mason Mitchell, a complex and deeply flawed protagonist, brings a refreshing perspective to the genre. The author's writing is both raw and engrossing, painting a vivid picture of a city in turmoil and a legal system hanging by a thread. With its nuanced exploration of corruption, racial tension, and personal demons, Mouse in the Box offers a thought-provoking narrative that keeps readers on the edge of their seats.
A gritty crime novel that will leave you questioning the very fabric of justice in a city torn apart by violence and corruption. With a tantalizing hook, the book immerses you in the record-breaking violent crime epidemic plaguing Milwaukee. Attorney Mason Mitchell, a relentless defender of the accused, grapples with his own demons as he fights to navigate a justice system tainted by corruption and racial tension. Allan's writing is gritty and unapologetic, capturing the dark realities of a city in turmoil.
