Description

“I watched the young girl in horrified fascination”

*Mary left home in a decision that shattered her family. She accepted her Messiah in a dramatic act of love.

*Martha shined as a popular hostess, but finds herself despised for her sister's sin; forsaken by her husband, the victim of an undeserved divorce; and no longer marriageable.

*With nowhere to run, Mary came home, afraid for her life. Can Martha forgive?

*Lazarus' sisters watch him sicken and die. They called on Jesus confident He will heal. Four days later He arrived, Lazarus already dead in the tomb. He ordered family friends to remove the stone from the entrance. Stunned eyes witnessed the Lord as he shouted at Lazarus to come out. On swaying rubber legs, Lazarus obeyed.

*The Sanhedrin (Jewish government) decreed a price on Lazarus' head. They couldn't allow this proof of the power of God. Will Lazarus follow the apostles in martyrdom?

The book was an entertaining fictionalization of what COULD have happened during the time of Jesus, Lazarus, Mary & Martha. I don't feel everything was Biblically accurate, but I am aware thats part of the fictional license.

I did think the book was well written & kept the reader coming back for more. I think the author did a good job of gripping the reader and overall it was a good book.

I received this ARC for my honest review. All opinions are my own.

Beloved Prodigal: Never So Lost that God Can't Find You by author is a Christian Biblical Fiction. This is the author’s thoughts on what could have occurred. It focuses on the siblings Martha, Lazarus, and Mary.

The author has an endearing style of writing that drew me in. It was interesting to read her perspective of each sibling’s thoughts and actions. I appreciated the amount of research and study done to make this book historically and biblically accurate.

I enjoyed learning some information about daily life and customs of the time that Christ walked on Earth. The characters were nicely designed and relatable. The beautiful message of love and salvation shine brightly throughout this.
