A Different Day is remarkably written. This book starts out with Mo going through a really tough loss, and she is grieving. The dog, Lilo, tries everything she can think of to cheer Mo up, but nothing seems to be working. Lilo goes and puts her paw on Mo's hand, and Mo shows a small smile.

Lilo realizes the best thing she can do in that very moment is to just be there with Mo. That is such a good lesson for everyone to know. Friendship is a beautiful thing, and sometimes, that is more than enough.

Author, Ash Hunter, did a phenomenal job with this book. I 100% recommend everyone to read this book!

What a beautiful story about friendship and compassion! Even though it seems silly to think a dog would know enough to try to cheer someone up like this story, it happens a the time - a dog knowing you're having a bad day, or you're sick, etc. And even though they might not be taking it to the extreme, the empathy is still there and all they want is for you to feel better. It's a cute story, and I think the messages in it are powerful

A Different Day is a tale of friendship between puppy Lilo and his neighbor friend, Mo. They play together all the time, but one day, Mo is really sad. Lilo tries to cheer her up in lots of different ways, but ends up just sitting down by Mo and being there for her.

This story deals with loss of a loved one, grief, and sadness. It's okay to be sad, and sometimes the best thing we can do for our friends who are sad is to let them know we are there for them. This is a great way to teach our kiddos that it's normal to feel bad or sad sometimes, and it's okay.

I definitely recommend this be available to kids through schools and libraries. If your kids have gone through a loss, they need this book!

This book is good for any child going through the loss of a loved one. It is very well written with a nice rhythm and flow. The animations are well done and appropriate for the story. There is a strong positive message at the end of the book that is good for all ages to read and remember. In the kindle download there is a duplicate of the page where the dog searches for their favourite toy mouse.

Thank you to Huntleigh Publishing and NetGalley for providing me with a free electronic copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
