The story of a curious child who wanders around a mall without his parents is well done. The author answers the who, what, when, why, and how this happened. It takes just a second.
The illustrations are simple allowing the message to dominate.
This is a great teaching tool.
FYI: I wouldn't be prepared on a whim to define kidnapping and suggest having an age-appropriate answer prior to introducing the child to the book, as well I would prepare the child's caregivers to be on the same page.
