I gotta say, the illustrations are like a burst of color and fun on every page. And the best part? It's not just about laughs; it's about Pancake realizing that true heroes are the ones who stay true to themselves.
I read this book with my daughter Izzy. Izzy loved this sweet story about the cat named Pancake. The illustrations are beautiful and the story is well written with a nice message. Izzy liked the ending most of all since Pancake makes friends and becomes the hero. Izzy gives this story 5 stars since it has a great message that you don’t have to be purr-fect to be a hero.
One of the cutest children's books I've read in a long time. Beautifully illustrated, this follows an adorable cat named Pancake - who loves Pancakes. I found myself cheering along for Pancake, somehow very invested in their journey to self love.
This is adorable! What a lovely storybook for children to enjoy! The story is heartwarming, with a really good message about what it means to be a hero. The illustrations are beautiful throughout, there’s some good humour, and it is well written. This would make a lovely addition to anyone’s storybook collection. Would definitely recommend.

My 4 and 7 year old kids and I loved this book. It’s a little strange but also funny and cute. It has a great message and bonus there are lots of pancakes. Also we loved the illustrations. We definitely recommend it.
This book was very well written! I read it with my son! As a parent I thought it had a great message! My son and I loved the puns! He thought it was funny! We were actually talking about puns earlier so when we read this book he noticed them right away! This would be a good book to have students or your own children point out the few Puns it has!
Pancake love pancakes. It’s so fun! My kids loved Pancake and his adventures. I enjoyed it, too. The illustrations were wonderful and there was a great word:page ratio which gave it great flow for reading out loud.
My kids pointed out that Pancake’s friends weren’t very nice. He needed better friends that didn’t just laugh at him.
This book is about accepting yourself, which can be extremely difficult for adults, so kudos for getting this story into the hands of littles!
