Description
"Discover New Hampshire's best-kept secrets with this ultimate day trip guide, written by a local who knows the hidden gems like the back of her hand!"
Welcome to your day trip travel pocket guide of suggestions for charming, hidden gems in New Hampshire! If you're looking for off-the-beaten-path destinations that the locals love, and unique dining experiences, this guide is for you. As a native of New Hampshire, I've spent my weekends wandering the back roads of my beloved state, discovering welcoming small towns and unforgettable sights.
This guide offers a day trip itinerary with recommendations for breakfast spots, delicious eats, speakeasies, museums, live music, and outdoor activities spread across the state's four quadrants:
- Southern NH
- Seacoast
- Central NH-Lakes region
- Northern NH, including the White Mountains
Each suggestion is carefully selected based on its proximity to other destinations to help you make the most of your time. Whether you want to spend a weekend exploring a single area, or take a day trip to a few different destinations, this guide has you covered. I've also included a list of additional suggestions for you to explore. As a country girl with a love for good food, friendly atmospheres, and the stunning scenery of New Hampshire, I hope you'll enjoy these hidden gems as much as I have, and experience some of the best of what the Granite State has to offer.

Eat Drink See NH by author Pamela Fariole is a must have if you plan on visiting the Granite State!
It's chock-full of amazing restaurants, wineries/vineyards, breweries, historical landmarks, and more and is written by a NH native.
Our favorite stop so far is Averill House Vineyard in Brookline, NH (Located in Southern NH, just a hop, skip, and jump away from the MA boarder, 2 streets away to be exact!). They serve a large selection of NH made wines on their family owned and operated vineyard, and offer some unusual but tasty wine infused items like wine slushies & #WineCream... They even have events year round. Our personal favorite has been going during the winter for their "Vine to Wine Igloo Experiences"!
We can't wait to visit more of the listed locations during our next visit.
Make sure to get your copy of Eat Drink See NH, to find the best stops in NH!

Well researched and easy to follow. Great idea for my next trip to NH. Thanks to Netgalley for the opportunity to read this book
I've been to NH several times for family gatherings and vacations. It's not too far from where I live in MA. This was a simple guidebook that provided good information about visiting the state. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC.
As a travel agent, this book will come in handy when helping clients plan their perfect trips. And now I have this burning desire to travel to NH right now. This book is beautiful and rich and enticing.
A fun guidebook that had some great NH highlights for visitors to check out. This book also works well for NH residents who haven't spent much time exploring the granite state, or need some inspiration for their next staycation. I thought the set up worked well and it was easy to navigate.
