This visual companion gives the reader a deeper appreciate the finer details of the show. The book includes stunning images of the sets, props, costumes, hair/makeup, and of course features gorgeous character shots. This book reminded me why Peaky Blinders remains my favorite show of all time. Each photo gives a glimpse into the care and precision that was taken to bring the characters and world of Peaky Blinders to life.
Also, let’s be honest Cillian Murphy is visually striking with his blue eyes, the undercut, and his suits. This book includes numerous images of him as Thomas Shelby.
I received Peaky Blinders: The Official Visual Companion by Jamie Glazebrook for review on NetGalley and read it IMMEDIATELY. The photos are stunning! Absolutely gorgeous shots in here. My only complaint is I wanted more 🤣

One of the most perfect books for fans of the amazing tv-show Peaky Blinders that includes amazing pictures from both the show and behind.
The perfect visual companion!
Breathtaking photos from the set and behind the scenes commentary provide a stunning piece to complement the show! a must have for any fan!
An amazing book for fans of the hit show Peaky Blinders. With lots of photographs of the show, it gives the readers an insight into the "beauty" of the show. But at the same time, it also portrays the rough sides.
I am a huge Peaky Blinders fan, watching the show each week without fail as it aired, rather than binging on catchup as I often do with other TV programmes. I've seen the dance interpretation stage show and I've been to visit the Black Country Living Museum in Dudley where a lot of scenes were filmed, most notably those in Charlie Strong's canal side yard.
Apart from being a photographic companion to the show, that's obviously going to be a major pull, it was the cover image that caught my attention....BOOM! Tommy Shelby! Have you ever seen an image that is more Tommy Shelby than this one!? The flat cap, head down, linger of smoke, everything about it is brooding and dark and shouts of something about to happen, which is pretty much Peaky Blinders throughout!
This is a must-have for any Peaky Blinders fan!
It would make a great coffee table book, I could imagine myself regularly leafing through.
The photography is crisp and punchy from beginning to end. It has a moody feel to it, which I love.
It feels almost like black & white photography, the colours are so muted, but then there will be a sudden pop of colour that just brings the image to life. Similarly to the show, I don't think of Peaky Blinders as being colourful, the colours were very much dulled, but then you would have this vivid explosion of fire, or a bright skyline, and this in itself would say so much.
The detailing is exquisite, the choice of picture, the framing, it's all beautiful. Even the simplicity of the shot of a desk with papers and books on, the tell-tale ashtray full of cigarette ends, you know where this desk is, who sits there and what goes on there. It's exciting!
It's nice to see the lesser known characters featuring too, but with plenty of shots of all the main favourites.
The pages of text do not over power or take away from the fact that this is a visual companion, they are informative, descriptive and add depth to the photography, giving you fascinating snippets of behind the scenes planning and stories. They draw you into the scene being shot and get you to study the photos in even more detail.
I would highly recommend this visual companion to any Peaky Blinders fan.
Visually stunning, any fan of the show would be more than happy to proudly display this book on their coffee table. I enjoyed not only the photos but the added insight behind the show. I can’t wait to see this book in person.

I really can't believe it's been ten years!
I would like to start my reviews by quoting from this book:
"Although many aspects were
easy on the eye – plenty of pretty characters, engaging places
and stunning sets – there was always depth of character; it was
all about people. Peaky Blinders was a show made up of real
characters who had difficult lives and difficult decisions to make.
They had complicated situations to navigate and were faced with
events that were anything but straightforward."
This book took me back from its first season through an engaging journey till last season. This is my one of the most beloved Series on Television and truly speaking, all through, I felt like watching it in real upfront and not just on TV. Mostly this was famous for crime and gang wars, but what I took from this series, is a never-ending affection for a family, to fight for and to live for, only family, and keep them happy and safe at all cost, keeping faith in all.
The pictures were awesomely clicked and that cinematography of this work too was so undaunting. Nobody ever looked so great onscreen in 'paddy cap' as Cillian Murphy as 'Thomas Shelby'. That set and those filters used to present 19th century times were so amazing. Jamie Glazebrook did an amazing work (atleast for me to hold onto) and Photographs by Robert Viglasky, Matt Squire, Ben Blackall and Steffan Hill as already mentioned earlier, were absolutely appreciable.
