I had the pleasure of receiving this book and I’ve taken my time enjoying every chapter. It’s well thought out and executed beautifully. Our main character is — from the beginning, suppose to turn our feelings on a head and force us to see the deeply rich character development. The absolute wild paranormal plot with world building that had me coming back for more more more. You should DEFINITELY read this and explore the inner workings that are the Infernal Artifacts Collection.

I loved this book! I understand it's the 3rd installment but I had no issue jumping right in without having read the first two. The author provides enough information that it was easy for me to follow. I loved the Hawaiian culture featured in this! It was a breath of fresh air to see different kind of paranormal represented. I look forward to more!

An electrifying fantasy novel that takes readers on an unforgettable journey through a world teetering on the brink of chaos. The story revolves around Theodora Sharp, a young internet tycoon who finds herself in the clutches of rogue demons. Theodora's transformation from a captive heiress to a powerful force is both mesmerizing and thrilling to witness. With its intricate world-building and well-developed characters, Dearly Departed is a thrilling adventure filled with magic, danger, and unexpected twists.

From the moment I started reading, I was hooked. Imagine a young internet tycoon thrust into a realm of demons, danger, and deadly power. Ralynn Kimie's writing is like a rollercoaster ride, and you won't want to get off. This book is pure escapism at its best, and it reminds us that even in the darkest of times, there's a spark of resilience and strength within us all. If you're looking for a fantasy novel that's equal parts thrilling and fantasy, Dearly Departed should be at the top of your reading list. Don't miss out on this wild adventure!

Like all the other books in this collection, it didn’t take long for me to be completely immersed. It started off with an amazing prologue that left me wanting to know how that tied into the rest of the book. I’ll be honest, at first I didn’t care much for the character of Teddy. Luckily as the story progressed so did she as a character. Also whatever’s going on between Teddy and Sam I’m so here for! Hope that turns into something more! This book then ended with a fantastic epilogue with a big tie into a previous book from the collection. Once again I absolutely cannot wait to see where this series and collection as a whole goes!

This book had me hooked from the prologue. I really couldn’t put it down. It’s a genre-bending story of personal growth, fighting demons, found family, and history. I loved how historical elements were intertwined in the plot - and although this is part of a collection of stories- it can definitely be read as a stand-alone. The FMC at first was pretty immature, slightly chaotic, and definitely a wildcard. Her bodyguard, Sam, is the grumpy to her sunshine. I’d be grumpy too if I were tasked with her protection.

There is kidnapping, communication with the dead, a quest to save humanity, and lots of black web/secret agent type action. It’s sort of fantasy? But there are quite a few historical components too. It was really fun to read, and I was gripped the entire time. I love when a book has unexpected twists- and when I say my jaw DROPPED a few times - I literally mean I had to put my kindle down and shake my head to see if I read the sentences right.

I am so impressed with the author’s ability to tell a story. Her books are incredibly unique and you can see her creativity shine especially in this story. I can’t wait to read more.

I loved this book so much!! The new characters introduced were amazing!! I was shocked by some of the things revealed! I can’t wait for the next book in this collection!

The ending! I was NOT expecting that. I didn't like Teddy much as a character due to the bits and pieces of her that reminded me of myself. Teddy does have an eating disorder, so if that's a trigger for you, I would read with caution! She focuses on her body and her appearance a lot. She takes a little while to get comfortable in her own, but it's still pretty apparent. I did like this, only because I'm glad it wasn't overshadowed by the other things she goes through. EDs are a constant struggle and it's not something that's fixed overnight. So I do like that she didn't suddenly love herself by the end of the book and I can't wait to see how she grows over the series!

This is Ralynn Kimie's first book with a female protagonist though and I think she did great! I also loved the brewing slow burn romance. There's a few time jumps at the end, so I'm hoping in the next Angel of Death book we'll have a little more on if there's been any development here! I have noticed Ralynn tends to shy away from romances in her work and as an aro ace myself I don't typically care to read it but I love the way she included it without it taking away from the story and I hope to see something progress between them in the series!

The ending though was... WHAT?!

I need the next book!!

Ralynn Kimie has written another excellent addition to the Infernal Artifacts collection. This book focuses on Theodora Sharp, (aka Teddy) a child prodigy in music and programming as well as the granddaughter of the famous Dorothea Sharp. Teddy’s rebellious streak has gotten her into enough trouble over the years, but when demons try to re-engineer the technology her family has developed, she has no choice but to accept her growing abilities and do her best to set things right.

The progression of events unfolds in a believable way. Teddy dealing with her eating disorder and the trauma of being kidnapped was an emotional journey that left me wanting more!

I absolutely loved this book. Ralynn’s writing style is so amazing! The way her characters develop throughout the book is truly superb. She makes it so easy to immerse yourself in the story. I am totally hooked!
