Kylie Minogue

I adore Kylie Minogue. I know our littles are going to love about Australia’s pop princess. This is a delightful series.

I love learning new things about celebrities, especially during their childhood. I never knew she was an actress in a soap opera, but loved her music when I was a teenager!

I love this series of books! They are a great way of making learning about inspiring historical, or more contemporary pop culture, figures fun and informative with lovely illustrations!

As per usual with the Little People, Big Dreams editions, this one gives a child-appropriate biography of an influential person either contemporary or from history. I love how they seem to focus on women's stories throughout history in general, as they have tended to be erased from collective memory. This issue covers none other than pop icon Kylie Minogue from her childhood in Australia, her sister's earlier success, then her own, her persistence in the music business and later cancer struggles. The illustrations are close to what children themselves draw, yet in a slightly more elevated and proportion-adequate way. A wonderful gift for the children in your life.

An adorable story about a really inspirational performer. The illustrations are lovely but my favorite part was the last pages with the real photos of Kylie. While I know some of her music, not being Australian, I feel like I didn’t know much about her. I had no idea she had been an actress, and I didn’t know about her cancer diagnosis. I wish her all the best and really enjoyed this sweet book.

I'll admit to not being familiar with Kylie (the Australian princess of pop) prior to reading this book. It seems that she had quite the successful and wide-ranging career - between both acting and singing. The story laid out her trajectory and emphasized her focus on working hard to achieve her goals as well as overcoming obstacles along the way.

The illustrations and format of the book are in line with what I expect from this series of Little People, Big Dreams books. I continue to enjoy learning something new about each subject and appreciate the wide range of people that are highlighted in these books.

Perhaps not the most striking example of someone who overcomes difficulties in earlier life to realise her dreams, but this pop icon it turns out, is very much a role model.

As you look at the ‘highlights’ within this brief life story, aimed at young readers you catch a glimpse into why she has achieved so much success.

I took my own two daughters to a Kylie concert “back in the day” so I know what an inspiring pop star she was and musically still is, with continued chart success and sold out venues. Perhaps it is a good time to add her to these figures within the little people, big dreams series.

What I found most revealing was her shyness but love to perform in safe environments. Despite her sister initially getting more attention and success she never wavered on her own ambitions. The spark and determination was within Kylie; she was not to become a star just because of pushing parents or a determined aunt. She had some inner belief and drive that made her continue with fulfilling her own dreams and finding a platform for her talents across drama, song and fashion.

I liked the way her career blossomed and wasn’t restricted by the first things she achieved. She not only made the most of her talent but she grew as a young actor and found her voice in music and dance rhythms.

Her courage in fronting up to and sharing her cancer diagnosis and treatment journey is perhaps more inspiring and demonstrates the depth of her personality and scope of her courage. But it is her music that elevates her into a superstar and role model.

Another wonderful instalment in this informative and inspiring series.

My daughter loves the little people big dreams books and Kylie, so this was a win win. A great read in a great series.

Not me discovering that Kylie wrote the bop my kid is currently obsessed with and also is a breast cancer survivor like me who is using her platform to advocate for BC awareness. This book was so beautiful and so inspiring and I cannot wait to buy the final copy to add to our collection!!

Growing up, I watched Kylie play Charlene in Neighbours. Her debut album was the first album I ever bought. This Little People, BIG DREAMS book is perfect - I wouldn't change a thing! ;)

As a pop princess, Kylie definitely deserves her very own Little People, Big Dreams book. She is beloved by early ages, having amassed fans from the 1980s into present day via her acting in some popular soap drama, to her acting, charity work and as an icon to the LGBTQIA community. This book is as fun as the pint sized star, full of bright illustrations and accompanied by her biography in short paragraphs. I love this series of books and think they are great for the younger generation. That being said, they are also great for us who are older, and together we can learn more through the power of reading. Highly recommend for anyone with little ones in their life.

This book is such a cute look at the stellar career of Kylie Minogue. As a fan, it was great to see such a succinct version of events with such wonderful illustrations. And as far as a children’s book goes, this would be inspiring to young girls worldwide. It’s so much fun, and something parents can read with their kids

My son and I love the Little People, Big Dreams series. This particular book shows how a normal little girl with a dream grew up to be an inspirational superstar! This is a wonderful message for children and Kylie’s story is a shining example of how to pass that message on to the littlest people.

It was great to learn more about the superstar known as Kylie Minogue especially as I have nostalgic memories of Can't Get You Out Of My Head being released, a great part of my childhood.

Another LPBD book to my read list. This is a fantastic series, always beautifully illustrated, and full of information that will engage both children and adults.

I absolutely love this series of books - I havnt found a bad one yet! Although most of the time it's people I don't know a great deal about so was pleased to se this Kylie Minogue one as I remember her from her Neighbours days.
As always a great read, with little bitesize bits of information about her life along with th normal cute illustrations.

I continue to love this series. I hope that Vegara is allowed to continue to write them. I love that I can learn about new people and their contributions to society. I love the illustrations. I love the research and attention that goes into each book.

I love this series of books, as do my own children and the children in my class. I feel like this was a special one to read as I’ve been a Kylie fan since my early teens so was fascinated to read this version of her story.

Kylie Minogue by Maria Isabel Sanchez Vegara is a very cute story written about a real person. Written to inform the children about her breast cancer and make them aware that everyone can make a difference.

My daughter has read many of the books in this series and so was excited to read this one too. She said it was good and she really enjoyed it. She loved the pictures and enjoyed learning more about Kylie. She was really excited to realise that Kylie had been in the TV show that mummy watched and I'm sure it's going to be a book she's going to want to add to her bookshelf.

We love this series and Kylie Minogue! There was a lot I didn’t know about Kylie and I think this book does a great job giving little ones just enough information. It’s not too overwhelming. The illustrations as always are amazing.

Kylie Minogue is not a new topic in my life. But never did I know that she was once an actress, I know her songs only. But her life is so inspiring, and the author can brought out the beauty of her struggles and it paid off. An inspiring story to read by many.

I love the little people books. They are easy to read and the illustrations are always beautiful. One to be shared with the children and then to watch her in action on YouTube.

Kylie was a talented girl from Australia. She inherit singing and dancing from her mother; whi was a former ballet dancer. She also like fashion by sewing with her grandmother. Oneday, her aunt took Kylie to audition for a small role.
