This book is a fun way to learn about so many amazing people. So many of these people I had never heard of before. I think it’s great to start teaching kids early about important people in history that aren’t always talked about. The illustrations are bright and colorful. The text is engaging. I especially enjoyed the layout of the pages. It’s very eye catching. Definitely recommend this book for kids interested in history!
This was so fun! Not only is it visually so beautiful, but I loved all of the different facts/people represented. Even as an adult, there was a lot to learn from this. I have kiddos in my life I would definitely buy this for! And as someone who studied education, this would be a fantastic classroom resource!!
"50 Trailblazers of the 50 States" is a really cool look at some important people throughout the USA and the impact they had on our lives. From Rosa Parks, Muhammad Ali, and Jackie Robinson to Betty Ford, the Ggrimke Sisters, and Lola Baldwin, there are so many important figures covered in this book! There is a brief biography, quotes from each person, and the impact they had on our society for each person. Whether you sit down and read it with your young kids or read it for yourself, there is something for everyone to learn from this book!
This book is such a great way to learn more about our country and the amazing trailblazers that not only made changes in their state, but had great impact on the nation as a whole! We learn about indigenous people, young activists, political leaders and even trailblazers I had never been exposed to before. I especially loved learning more about X Gonzalez, the trailblazer from my home state of Florida. This is going to make an incredible addition to the nonfiction section of our home library!
Thank you for the opportunity to read this!
I was drawn to this by the cover art, and immediately thought this would be great for my nieces, who are 6 & 9.
But guess what?!? It was great for ME!!
This book is so informative and the layout, pictures, and the ease of reading made it so enjoyable!
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with this book in exchange for my review! All opinions are my own.
As someone who is 25 years old, but has always had a curious nature, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. With everything going on in this world today, I think it is very important that children learn about important historical figures that came before them. I thought the illustrations were very eye-catching and engaging. I would definitely put this on a list of books to purchase for special children in my life. Overall, I thought this book was a fascinating read for children!

This is the kind of history I want my children to learn in school!! Inclusive, not White male-dominated, that doesn't gloss over historical fact to make people look better but focuses on the accomplishments of so many. Love it!
I was very happy to be able to learn about / learn more about these 50 trailblazers from the United states of America.
Vibrant illustrations are the backdrop to this fantastic collection of people who dedicated their lives to making a difference for others. What was really exciting about this book was the choices -- there were people I am familiar with and people I never heard of, and all of them made significant contributions. I recommend this book for everyone, even though it's clearly designed for young readers.
Thanks to NetGalley for letting me read this
This book is a quick and captivating journey through American history for young readers. Ideal for home, school, or the library, it explores key social issues like feminism and civil rights, featuring trailblazers such as Rosa Parks, Barack Obama, Margaret Murie, and Betty Ford from each state. Each section includes a brief summary, detailed timeline, key facts, and insights, showcasing America's enduring greatness in equal rights, feminism, and environmentalism. It not only spotlights well-known trailblazers but also introduces those who may be less familiar—a unique aspect.
I enjoyed reading it and highly recommend it.
This is a wonderful companion to the other 50 states book. It allows the reader to learn great information while still being intrigued to research more. There were people that I’d not heard of, which was refreshing amongst the more well known names. Its format is reminiscent of the other books within this series, but there’s enough difference to not get bogged down by the similarities.
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for this ARC. All opinions are my own.
I loved this book! Great introduction to each of the 50 States and trailblazers from each one. I love the images and find the book very captivating.
I received a complimentary copy of this book via Netgalley. Opinions expressed in this review are my own
As a Canadian, I did not recognize many of the trailblazers or I heard the name but was not familiar with their story. I appreciated this book for that reason, I finished the book and felt excited to have all this new information to share and I know kids will feel the same.
A fantastic book jam packed with colourful engaging illustrations and multiple facts and quotes. Featuring 50 inspirational people from the 50 states this book covers everything from animal rights activists, presidents, mental illness campaigners and more.
Thank you Netgalley for the ARC!
This is a great book to learn about individuals from every state who help make change in the United States. I found the story of each person interesting, many of the people I had never heard of before. Not only does this book teach children about people in history that they might not normally learn about in school but it also teaches them that they can do anything they set their minds to. The illustrations are wonderful and the text is just enough to keep the book interesting without overdoing it.
