This book will be great for students looking to learn more about this amazing woman's life and how she impacted history.

I found this to be a very informative book about the Lewis and Clark expedition as a whole. It reads like introductory material and would be perfect for a middle or high schooler just learning about this time in history or an adult, like me, who needs a refresher. Although the book is entitled Sacagawea, it really tells much more of the story than just her part. The focus is broad strokes and gives lots of information along with andecdotes about the entire expedition. It's written in an easy-to-understand format that is accessible to a variety of ages and is fast-paced enough to hold the attention of most readers.

Bottom line: If you enjoy history, or if you are curous about this time period, this is a great introduction to Lewis and Clark and, of course, Sacagawea herself. Read this book to learn more about a fascinating woman and an interesting journey of discovery.

The author did well in explaining the role of Sacagawea in the exploration of the West. Sacagawea played an important role and helped Lewis and Clark. This book was very interesting, and I would recommend this to any history buff.

A concise retelling of Sacagawea's life, It is not my normal genre but it was informational and historical if that is what you are looking for.

This was a good book about a person not too many people know much about. I enjoyed and learned a lot form it.

This historical character is brought to life in a new light by Alana White. What a beautiful portrait of her life and times. I would recommend this book to anyone interested in Sacagawea and her life. This was a wonderful tribute to Sacagawea and the woman she was. It is always interesting to learn more about historical individuals more in-depth. An easy-to-read tribute to Sacagawea!

Because of the way she handled the myriad stories about Sacagawea, anybody can pick up this book easily without any prior knowledge about her or the time period. I enjoyed the author's storytelling abilities as she broke down the Lewis and Clark expedition leg-by-leg. The maps were great tools in the book as well, adding a much needed visual to understand the scope of the journey they undertook. I will definitely be looking for more books by this author in the future.

This is the first time I've heard the story of Sacagawea, and I loved learning what there is to know with the scant amount of information available. Well researched, and nice context for these historical events - easily readable, so accessible for the young people I work with.
