These stories are always so full of fun. I would be MOST UPSET if someone stole my crisps… especially on a train! But when more than crisps go missing it’s up to the crew to solve the mystery! This had me chuckling away at times, and I love the illustrations!
Pamela Butchart never fails to hit the right note and this is another cracker. I recommend this series to so many parents; it has the perfect mix of accessible writing for newly independent readers to enjoy on their own and the occasional joke dropped in for parents who are reading aloud. Butchart never talks down to her readers or layers in jokes that will go over their head. She is pitch perfect in writing kids being kids, showing their image sense of fun and justice and how their imaginations fly on everyday occurrences.
Flintham’s illustrations are the perfect match to the humour and absolutely bring the characters and the humour to life.
Perfect for fun loving mystery fans.
I have found Pamela Butchart's Baby Aliens series a fantastic thing for reluctant readers. The books mice with such pace and the children are so engaged that they hardly realise they're reading.
The latest instalment, The Great Crisp Robbery, is as hilarious and engaging as ever. I know the children will love it,
