‘A story about love, betrayal, family’ - Bookaholic Confessions

If you could see me now…

Lizzie and Bea Harris were always very close. They were sisters and nothing could tear them apart. Until Bea dies, leaving her sister twelve letters, one for every month.

Alone for the first time Lizzie is left trying to pull together the pieces of a life she has for so long ignored and find a place for herself…out from under the shadow of her sister.

But the letters are revealing a sister Lizzie isn’t sure she recognises, and she’s beginning to wonder if she ever really knew Bea? As Lizzie delves deeper into her sister’s life she begins to uncover secrets that could tear her and her family apart.

Perfect for fans of Sue Fortin, Tracy Buchanan and Cecilia Ahern.

I absolutely loved Annie's previous novel, Not Quite Perfect, so I was fizzing with excitement at reading Dear Lizzie. It sounded like a completely different read from Not Quite Perfect and it really, really was - but it was still once heck of a fantastic read!
When I was reading I kept getting similarities between PS I Love You by Cecelia Ahern (which I adore!). It definitely tugs on the heartstrings as much as Cecelia's novel and has just as much depth and meaning.
Dear Lizzie is a gorgeous story which will take you on an incredible journey. It's one of those novels where you don't actually see the pages turning - they just do, and before you know it you're at the end and are trying to disguise your tears.
A story about love, betrayal, family and what it means to forgive. I can see this book appealing so many people and it has secured Annie Lyons a spot on my favourite authors list. I can't wait for more from this talented, warm and sensitive writer.
