Grace's husband has passed and she decides to visit Devon. Paradise Cove sounds like the change she needs but when someone tries to kill her she doesn't feel safe at all.

This is book I read in a morning and rather enjoyed. It is winderfully written and the story is beautfully told.
I loved the way the story progressed and I felt scared for Grace. I wanted to know the who's and why's...

A brilliant shortish story and very enjoyable..

This was really well written and thought the feel worked with the murder element and thought the mystery worked overall. The characters were everything that I was hoping for and felt the suspenseful atmosphere worked overall. Salie Thomas has a strong writing style and am excited for more.

Something's Wrong in Paradise Cove by Salie Thomas is a short, engaging story that explores themes of loss, resilience, and mystery. The book follows a woman, grieving the loss of her husband, as she embarks on a fresh start with her two young children in the seemingly idyllic Paradise Cove. However, the dream soon becomes a nightmare as unsettling events unfold, raising the question: is something—or someone—trying to drive them away?

This story drew me in with its intriguing premise and the promise of suspense. The setting is vividly described, painting a picture of a picturesque, isolated haven that hides its secrets well. The characters are relatable, especially the protagonist, whose struggles with grief and motherhood are handled with sensitivity. The friendships she forges along the way add warmth and contrast to the otherwise chilling occurrences at the cove.

While I enjoyed the overall story, I found that some elements felt a bit rushed, as if the plot could have benefited from more detail or a slightly slower pace to build tension. Additionally, there were a few minor grammatical and formatting errors that distracted from the reading experience. These could be easily addressed with a round of thorough editing.

Despite these issues, Something's Wrong in Paradise Cove offers an enjoyable and fast-paced read. The twists and turns kept me hooked, and the resolution provided a satisfying sense of closure. If you're looking for a quick mystery with an atmospheric setting and a touch of heart, this book is worth picking up. I look forward to seeing more from Salie Thomas in the future!
