Description
In life I was a scientist called Fanning.
Then, in a jungle in Bolivia, I died.
I died, and then I was brought back to life...
Prompted by a voice that lives in her blood, the fearsome warrior known as Alicia of Blades is drawn towards to one of the great cities of The Time Before. The ruined city of New York. Ruined but not empty. For this is the final refuge of Zero, the first and last of The Twelve. The one who must be destroyed if mankind is to have a future.
What she finds is not what she's expecting.
A journey into the past.
To find out how it all began.
And an opponent at once deadlier and more human than she could ever have imagined.
Advance Praise
“Justin Cronin’s Passage trilogy is remarkable for the unremitting drive of its narrative, for the breathtaking sweep of its imagined future, and for the clear lucidity of its language. The City of Mirrors is a thrilling finale to a trilogy that will stand as one of the great achievements in American fantasy fiction.” – Stephen King

The wait for this book was most definitely worth it to have been given such a finely crafted, satisfying ending to such an awesome series. I loved every page and my only disappointment is that this is the end. Stephen King said it best about The Passage "Read this book and the ordinary world disappears" and the same holds true for the entire trilogy. I await with bated breath to see what Mr Cronin might bring us next but I will always leave a little piece of my heart between the pages of these books.
No words from my silly little brain could do this justice. Superb ending of an amazing trilogy. Sad that it's over but completely in love with the ending.
I couldn't wait for this book but before I read the final part of the trilogy I reread the other books. Justin Cronin has created a world as real as our own and one which is a warning and a message to us all. The trilogy is a perfect circle. Sometimes I wondered where he was taking me as it seemed off track but he always shows you why. The tension towards the last half/third of the novel is incredible. Take a month and read all the books in one go. You won't regret it.
