The Pilgrim and The Star

The Pilgrim and The Star is a beautifully compiled collection of poetry inspired by nature. It deals with raw emotions such as happiness, loneliness, optimism, and regret, whilst using evocative natural settings and landscapes to reflect them. This book is a journey of self discovery, with different ideas tripping over each other like the streams they are set against, and aims to remind the reader of the stunning places Britain has to offer.

Inspired by the great romantic poets, each poem can be read individually or as one complete journey of reflection. This collection aims to spur the reader on to start their own poetic journey – it will light a spark in them and ignite a sense of self-reflection and discovery in all.

ROSS DANIEL BAKER had his first book, The Fable of Mythrian, published when he was 19. His second book was a historical fiction called Shadows of the Heartland, set around mid-eight century Anglo-Saxon England. Having completed a certificate in Higher Education in Archaeology with the University of Leicester, he is currently studying on a BA Hons in Humanities and Arts.
