A delight to read and illustrated with such tenderness. A young boy is in an unfamiliar area but with the help of his reassuring and imaginative grandpa he starts to see the beauty around and feel a part of the city.
What a gift!!! I love this beautiful book. I enjoy the illustrations and the colour palette. The characters are nicely developed and drawn. It helped me to realise that I don’t see enough of the city I live in. Lovely message and story, great work!
A heart-warming, uplifting tale of finding the beauty in everyday things.
This wonderful story will spark the imagination in little ones, following a young boy and his grandpa around the big, grey city, as he discovers, through his grandpas guidance, the hidden beauties in the environment around him.
A fabulous story to share with your little ones about life’s simple pleasures. It is full of beautiful illustrations that perfectly capture the feel of this book. I think children will enjoy cuddling up to their loved ones while listening to this story being read
What a fab way to celebrate the wonder and greatness of Granddads!

Beautifully illustrated with a great use of colour, this is a gorgeous picture book which has a place in all classrooms! Gentle prose takes us on a journey with Grandpa to a charity shop, where we find an unexpected treasure and this teaches us to look for beauty in the most mundane of places.
A lovely book about opening up and welcoming new experiences in the everyday.
