I adore this series, and say that on every review I write for books in this little people, big dreams series.
This book has to be one of my favourites though! I didn't know much about Einstein before reading, and now I want to delve deeper into his life. I had no idea about his activism for human rights or that it took him until the age of 4 to actually speak!
I also love the closing page of this book - about challenging things! It's incredibly inspiring, and think that young people will adore this book.
This is one of my favourite books in the Little People, Big Dreams series. I found the life of Albert Einstein fascinating, and I learned a lot about him that I did not know. His life was very interesting to read about and it was great to see what a big difference he made in the world with his scientific skills and his peacekeeping skills. The illustrations in the book are beautiful and the text is easy to read and understand. I enjoyed the area at the end of the book, which has photos of Albert and a longer description of his life. I highly recommend this book.
Many thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I am surprised Albert Einstein wasn't added to the Little People, Big Dreams series a while ago - but he is finally here - and what a great addition he is!
This phenomenal series by Maria Isabel Sanchez Vegara contains enough enough information about the world past and current inspiring figures which is enough to peak the interests of readers young and old.
Illustrated by Jean Claude the pictures are a wonderful addition to the tale of Albert Einstein. Each books gives insight into the life of an extraordinary individual and the timeline at the rear of the book provides ore factual information.
I really enjoy all the books in this series and I was delighted to see that they had another new release – this time featuring the brilliant mind that was Albert Einstein!
I really liked how the book portrayed his character and it was a great insight in to this fascinating man, everything about the book worked for me and I thought it was a brilliant little introduction to him for younger children. The images were wonderful and brought him to life.
The book was great in that it really showed it is ok to be a little different with the book covering off that he didn’t actually speak until he was 4 years old and really disliked a lot of subjects at school, to the success he had with his ideas and discoveries that really did change the scientific world.
I liked the focus too on his humanitarian work and his passion for his fellow countrymen, Jews and his homeland which he was forced to leave when the Nazis were taking power with him encouraging US universities to also appoint fellow Jewish people where they could so their academic minds would also be saved, he was passionate about saving and helping as many people as he could in all areas though not just those with scientific backgrounds and attended rallies to gather attention (although the world very soon knew all about the rise of Hitler and his Nazi party)
It is 5 stars from me for this one – very highly recommended! Definitely looking forward to the next book!
A great exploration of the person behind the theories, the curiosity and imagination behind the esteemed figure. I had no idea Albert advocated so much alongside his theories. I'm glad to know he was such an insppiring human being!
I learned a lot about Albert Einstein from this book and very much appreciate the way the story is simplified for younger eyes and ears.
These books are just so great. They are written in such a way that is so relatable for younger children.
I (obviously) knew who Albert Einstein was and what he was famous for, but I was unaware of his place in the Second World War so I managed to learn something from this as well.
The concepts in this were a little difficult for my daughter to understand but they led to a long discussion about science.
My niece is 4 and has only just started speaking, she may be getting this book and a compass for her Christmas present.
I am surprised it took this long for Little People, Big Dreams to put their spin on Albert Einstein's life. However, it was worth the wait.
These biographies are age appropriate; inspiring and interesting, but not overwhelming. They have bright, beautiful illustrations, striking covers, and look great on a shelf together. I love the diversity of the people featured in this series. Artists, athletes, authors, activists, actors, explorers, entertainers, musicians and scientists.
