A vampire flies out of his cave. He finds himself attracted to a dance hall. He goes inside. What will he do? He takes off his cape as he gets hot and lies it down on a table. When he goes back to get it, it’s gone. Who took it?

A fun book to read about a vampire. It is not a scary story about vampires. I found myself laughing and enjoying this picture book. The illustrations are perfect for the story. Don’t miss out!

It was a short but funny read. The vampire stressing about wanting to eat, grooving to music and stressing again after losing his cape was hilarious.
It's definitely a book for children but who says adults can't enjoy a short, relaxing read?

I loved this book. There's no doubt in it. I've always loved reading about vampires and creepy things. Well, in general reading anything on vamp isn't fun but dreadful. But this picture book is hilarious. The writting are easy to understand and I loved when it rhymed in between the illustrations.
Kids going to love it cause this book is funny the author turned something scary into a funny forgetful character.

Highly recommended.

I really enjoyed this short kids story and liked how the author turned something that could be scary for young kids into someone they could identify with. Vampires can have issues with losing or misplacing their things just like us! I really enjoyed the artwork and the writing was clear and precise. If my kids were younger I would have definitely used this as a bedtime story during the fall season!

The Vampire's Missing Cape is a laugh out loud rhyming book that is sure to engage all young readers. It ties fantasy and real life together with bring the Vampire into a normal party while he is warm he misplaces his cape. This leads to him searching a bit but able to recover it.

I love spooky kid books & I would get this one for my daughter. The artwork is lovely. I wish there was a bit more to the story but I say that about a lot of kid books. I saw a review saying it has "nudity" so it's inappropriate but it doesn't show private parts & it's not made to look suggestive. The human body is not inherently dirty or inappropriate.

I got this as an ebook from NetGalley to review

This is a cute book about the mystery of the missing vampire cape. I think kids of all ages will really like this book.

I love cute vampire stories, and this one is totally going on the list of stories to read to my baby niece and nephew respectively. A vampire goes to a dance hall, and sets aside his cape when he gets hot and sweaty. Yet, a cake replaces his cape! Where is it? Without a cape, this vampire looks like an ordinary guy. No one will fear him. And he can't hunt; vampires can make do with breakfast cereal, but he would rather not.
I relate to moments when you can't find a thing, only for it to be there the whole time. It's a good thing that vampires can retrace their steps. And the rhymes are so clever! I cannot wait to reread.
