Description
Critics call this cozy mystery series “a laugh-out-loud, whimsical adventure full of tasty Italian dishes and adorable cats!”
Anna Romano is a middle-aged, Italian woman who is also a successful published author, a cat-mama, and an excellent cook with a hankering for Italian cuisine. She lives by herself in her quaint house, in a quiet community, with a white picket fence in Central New Jersey.
In the first installment, on a typical day in Anna's somewhat-perfect life, a book-signing event turns her world upside down. Is it a case of mistaken identity or was she just being paranoid?
After being stalked for weeks, Anna quickly finds herself literally 'tied up', fighting for her life, and desperate to get back home to her cats; all while unwittingly falling in love with the detective who was trying to save her. How she finds her way out of this mess is anyone's guess!
Find out more about Anna and the dangerous cases of murder and mayhem she 'haphazardly' gets herself into, in the new Anna Romano Mystery Series!

Absolutely loved this book. So much so I read it in one night. Anna loves her life as a writer and Mommy to her 7 cats. When her life is disrupted and her life as well as that of her babies is threatened. Anna goes into high gear protective mode. With the aid of Detective Sloan (who is a love interest), they must find a way to keep everyone safe from the person obsessed with hurting Anna. If you like cozy mysteries this is one for you. The author adds humor and facts to the storyline and keeps you guessing to the very end of the book.
Cats, Cannolis and a Curious Kidnapping is a delightful romp through a fictional authors life where the impossible and inane often occur simultaneously. Anna is content with her life but occasionally wonders if it would be more with a man to share it with. She is slowly but surely entering the crazy cat lady zone.
Being kidnapped by a lunatic with self esteem issues most assuredly helped Anna reflect on her life choices.
I enjoyed watching Anna’s insane antics and Johns frantic race to save her. This was a fun first in a series and I look forward to the next installment.
Loved it! What a delightful protagonist. A seriously humorous kidnapping occurs. Or should I say a humorous serious kidnapping? I am looking forward to reading more of Anna Romano's adventures. Thanks to the publisher for providing a copy via NetGalley. There was a seeming inconsistancy during the boat adventure. Children's voices were heard, but they were not on the boat according to later information or so it appeared. That portion was confusing. Where were the mother and children?
