Description
After a crippling accident in Tibet, Roger Scully elects to have his brain transplanted into the body of a condemned Uyghur. He awakes as Wu Zicheng. He survives complications and begins a career as a Chinese surgeon, with a romantic partner. He reads the Boston Globe daily and watches Red Sox and Bruins games. His identity conflict leads him to return to the US, where he lands a prestigious academic post as Roger Scully and acquires an American girl friend. His luck changes when he is accused of being an imposter; the medical board has received a copy of the Chinese death certificate of Roger Scully. The reader is challenged to find a solution to his quandry to regain his identity.
