Description

What happens to the soul when you are in a long coma?

Where may it travel?

What messages may it return with?

When journalist Sarah Bullen’s husband discovers he has a brain tumour, he pursues a shamanic path to fight the cancer that catapults them into a world of ritual and ceremony. Alongside hospitals, surgery and treatments came a wilder journey of spiritual searching. Then the impossible happens: she falls ill. While in a month-long coma, Sarah travels through near-death and into other realms and worlds. She comes back with an urgent message from beyond, and a spark to follow.

Sarah Bullen is a multi-published author, storyteller and much loved international writing mentor with a unique brand of humour and heart. She runs writing mentorships, mystical storytelling retreats and women's rites of passages around the world. Her books include Hey Baby! The Hip New Mom's Guide That's All About You and Write your Book in 100 Days! Stop Mucking About  & Just Write.

The author’s journalistic skill shines throughout this well-crafted memoir that is inspiring, thought-provoking, and emotionally wrenching in its candor and transparency. It is not an easy book to read due to the intensity of the life and death experiences described. I felt it well worth the investment of time and energy to explore this remarkable spiritual journey…a personal exploration of a myriad of ancient and New Age modalities that began long before the physical challenges shifted the author’s search into high gear. Yet aside from this, it is above all an affirmation of the resiliency of the human spirit and the power of love…love of self, love of partner, love of family and, above all, love of Life.
