I read this with my 6 year old, we really enjoyed reading this inspiring story about working hard and persevering to get the things you want. The illustrations in this book are bright and full of joy. I loved that Emily, despite being heartbroken that she's lost her beloved pick jacket, is full of warmth and happiness that her jacket is with someone who really needed it. I really appreciated that this story shows the positives of volunteering and working hard. This is the perfect story for parents and children who want to read about generosity, determination and selflessness.
