My children love sloths and the fact that much of this book takes place in Mexico was an added bonus! We loved the facts that were thrown in! Some of the artwork was beautiful but it was kind of odd that not all of the illustrations were the same style - some were kind of strange. WE LOVED THE COVER! We thought it would have been better had the styles been the same or similar. Overall my kids really enjoyed the sloth story and thought it was a cute fun read.

Thank you to the author, NetGalley and the publisher for this advanced electronic copy! We enjoyed reading it as a family.

This is an adorable book. The illustrations inside (and on the cover) are great & fun. The story was cute, fun & educational. I love that it teaches kids things, that some adults may not even know, about Mexico. I can’t wait to see where else Pedro the sloth goes on his adventures.

And a young sloth discovering the world, going on a trip across unknown countries that he discovers that's amazing ! This was a super cute and fun short read! The art was beautiful and adorable. The story about Pedro, the sleepy sloth, was not only enjoyable but also informative. As a half-Mexican that’s been raised in Norway, I always want to/try and learn more about Mexico’s culture and history. Not only was this book filled with facts about Mexico, but it was written in such a way that I can see myself reading this to a child without them being bored or losing their attention. The pictures used with the text was wonderful, but they were quite varying in art style which threw me off slightly. I highly recommend getting this book to read for your child, or just for your own enjoyment. I know I would’ve absolutely loved this book as a child. Thank you to Netgalley for giving me this E-Arc.

Pedro is a young sloth who sleeps all the time. He sleeps so much that even his parents, who are also sloths, begin to worry about it...

They try everything to keep Pedro awake more of the time, including inviting his African cousins, the baboons, over to visit from the Savannah. But Pedro still sleeps through their visit!

Then, his parents have a great idea. They decide to send Pedro to explore 20 countries in South America on a tour bus. Surely the excitement of exploring new cultures, eating varieties of foods, and meeting new friends will be enough to keep Pedro awake?

And they are right! The first place on Pedro's itinerary is Mexico, where he finds out that the largest Pyramid in the world is not in Egypt, that there are cacti that can grow up to 70 feet tall and live for 300 years, and that you can make friends with one of the world's tiniest dog breeds when you are eating yummy tacos in a Mexican restaurant.

I very much enjoyed reading about Pedro's adventure - and also the excellent artwork, which is a combination of cute cartoons and other illustrations, along with a few photos. This is a wonderful book with which to introduce children to the wider world.I including (for some of us) distant countries like Mexico.

I received an advance reader copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via netgalley and the publishers.

The Adventure of Pedro the Sloth in Latin America is just so adorable! I love sloths, so when I saw this cover, I couldn't wait to read it! Pedro is always sleeping, so his parents decide to send him out to discover the world, namely New Mexico, in this book. Pedro is just adorable (I mean, look at his little face on the cover!), and as we follow him on his adventure, we learn so many interesting things about Mexicos culture, history, and more. The book is entertaining and holds the attention of a child by not being too overloaded and kept a short read. I really hope this is made into a series as I would love to read more of Pedro and his adventures.

What a delightful book, the story and the illustrations are wonderful. This is the sort of book my younger grandchildren absolutely adore. Presumably there will be a series and I will be buying it for our real bookcase.

I received a complimentary copy from the publisher and all opinions expressed are entirely my own.

This was a delightful read for 3-5 year old's and those young at old like me. The book tells the story of Pedro who is always sleeping and thus his parents decides to send him on a road trip . The illustrations are top tier and the adventure he embarks on. Cannot wait for book 2. It's absolutely love this book.

I really enjoyed this cute kid’s book, though it may be a tad bit long for a quick bedtime story. I quite enjoyed that it can show kids what they are missing by not branching out. The illustrations were adorable and I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

I would like to thank the author, publisher, and Netgalley for providing me with a copy in exchange for an honest review.
