Description

Back to the Garden travels through time to reveal the eternal secrets of immortality.

The last words Gabe heard as he lay dying were Veritas Vincit – the truth will be revealed. The words uttered by the First Man, whose death wish torments him as he enlists the Pikarti, an ancient sect of the Capocrates, to find the Phoenix vaccine, which can give both eternal life or death.

Gabe’s wife, Angie, is told to run, knowing she will be hunted for her secret, and escapes to Nalanda, never having the chance to tell Gabe of their unborn child. To protect her child, she makes a sacrifice and has her boy raised in a Buddhist monastery, where he learns he is the Chosen One.

The story travels from the death of Saint Augustine, who was the keeper of the secret contained in the ancient papyrus, to King Sargon in Mesopotamia, where the papyrus was transcribed, to the Anastazi, who carried the truth to the Diné; each eon hid the truth in the Dharma Wheel, and the Navajo blessing wheel for everyone to discover.

Angie runs from the clandestine group with the help of Dr. Higgins, her young son, and the First Woman.

"Back to the Garden" is a captivating journey through time that kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. I was immediately drawn into the mystery surrounding Gabe's quest for the Phoenix vaccine and the ancient secrets of immortality. The intertwining narratives spanning different eras and cultures added depth to the story, leaving me eager to uncover each new layer of the puzzle.

One aspect of the book that I particularly enjoyed was the exploration of themes such as sacrifice, destiny, and the pursuit of eternal life. As Angie navigates the dangers of her world to protect her unborn child, I found myself deeply invested in her journey and rooting for her to succeed against all odds. Additionally, the historical settings and richly detailed world-building added an immersive quality to the story that made it feel both timeless and relevant.

Overall, "Back to the Garden" is a thought-provoking and exhilarating read that seamlessly blends elements of mystery, adventure, and mythology. I was left pondering the eternal questions posed by the narrative long after turning the final page, making it a truly unforgettable experience.
