Description
A little getaway takes a deadly turn for Morgan and Kyle Murphy in this spicy suspense thriller about a marriage filled with passion, secrets, and suspicions.
Morgan Murphy has always longed for a romance for the ages. And she’s found it with husband Kyle Murphy—until their spicy marriage suddenly starts to cool off.
Is Kyle preoccupied and distant because of a problem with his development project? Or is it something worse? Could Kyle Murphy be...cheating? He’s hiding something, that’s for sure. And Morgan’s determined to find out what it is.
With the help of gal pal Carla Flores, Morgan tracks her husband’s movements, and the signs increasingly point to infidelity, the ultimate sin in Morgan’s book. When Kyle increases their life insurance and surprises her with a weekend getaway to get their mojo back, she goes on the offensive and hatches a plan to make him come clean about what’s been going on.
But before she can pull it off, Morgan’s attacked and nearly kidnapped, and Kyle vanishes from the resort without a trace. With no clue as to who took Kyle or why, she’s not sure who is the biggest threat: the shady investor he owes money to, the police, or the guys she hired to teach Kyle a lesson. With the clock ticking, she needs to find out soon.
Before they come for her, too.
For fans of Liv Constantine, Kimberly Belle, Jeneva Rose, Kaira Rouda, Freida McFadden, and Daniel Hurst.

""Edge of the seat suspense in this riveting thriller about a husband and wife hiding deadly secrets from each other that will keep you guessing all the way to the explosive ending. Another winner for Bonnie Traymore!"" -- R.G. Belsky, author of the award-winning Clare Carlson series
""Bonnie Traymore's A Little Getaway is a well-written suspense novel that weaves together various timelines, narrative voices, and complex character relationships. The non-linear storytelling gradually exposes the characters' motivations and secrets, adding depth to the mystery and offering an engaging and satisfying read. The contrast between Morgan's personal struggles and the more composed Tara, who is a journalist investigating Kyle's disappearance, adds another layer to the story. The suspense is well-crafted, with each reveal adding new layers to the story. Traymore weaves a narrative filled with twists, keeping readers on edge as Morgan navigates a series of discoveries and, ultimately, a fight for survival. In the end, I liked this book, and it definitely had good twists in it. I did have to push myself to continue reading and to get through the book because it felt like it was dragging on at times. However, it was actually working up to the ending and putting all the pieces together. So, when I got to the end, it all made a lot more sense and I definitely appreciate the way that Bonnie pulled it all together! Overall, I enjoyed this book and would recommend this book to others.
The book is suspenseful, intriguing, twisted and mind blowing. It hooked me from page one and I couldn’t keep it down until I figured out the mystery. It constantly kept me on the edge. The characters were kind of deceiving. This is a multilayered story with multifaceted characters. The author has shared so well the bond between a mother and daughter and husband and wife. Morgan had a painful past. The author has created such a powerful and poignant back stories. The book is filled with twists and turns. The pacing was good. In terms of spice, it has just a few scenes. The book shook me. Truth was twisted and secrets were twisty. And twists and turns were completely unpredictable.
I am so glad I read this book. Some people are so skilled at writing, they are born to be a writer and the author is one among them. Author has created such a clever and deceiving characters. If I could rate this book 10/5, I would do that. I would rate the spice 1/5. I finished this in one sitting, sign me up for all the author’s upcoming books.

I loved this book! It had so many twists and turns that it had me hooked from the start. Throughout the whole story I was on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next! I also loved all the detail that went into describing each character. You get important backstory information that helps you understand the characters current emotions, feelings and decisions about the things happening around them. Then just when I thought I knew what was going to happen the ending came out of nowhere and blew me away. I would highly recommend reading this book. Thank you NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for sharing this story with me.
Thank you NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for the eARC.
This is a fun, light read that I enjoyed a lot. The two protagonists are strong females who know how to handle themselves, which I enjoyed. I wasn't too fond of Kyle, he wouldn't have been my choice for a husband!
I read this in one sitting and was pleased with the ending.
Definitely recommended.
What a great read! It was super fast and really flew through my fingers. I love the idea of a husband going missing on a weekend getaway, but then really the wife was plotting something too. The two female POV characters were interesting and strong, and I liked the frenemies vibe. The ending was perfect for me, wrapped it all up nicely. As for spice, it wasn't spicy for a romance novel, but since some people don't like that in a thriller at all, know that it did have some, but it was related to the plot. Overall, it was refreshing and original. Loved it!
This book was great and was right up my alley in terms of Thrillers.
One of the things I loved most about this book is that the chapters are short, each chapter ends with something that will keep you wanting more and it is a very easy read. I enjoyed that there weren't too many characters involved and that the POV changed in the book just enough to keep you on your toes, but not enough that it ended up being confusing. I also really enjoyed that I could read this in one day and thought the length of the book was perfect for the average reader, and that this would be a great book to get someone into the genre, though I feel this had more mystery vibes than thriller vibes.
My only criticism is that I wish it were a little more fast paced. Although each chapter kept me wanting more, I felt it was lacking in the "thrills" throughout the book. I'm also not sure that the title "A Spicy Suspense Thriller" is wholly appropriate because when most readers think of spice, they think of romance and "smut". I didn't get much of that from this book, although there were a few extremely mild scenes that referenced some level of "spice". I do acknowledge that spice is subjective and what may be considered spicy to some is not spicy at all to others.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book and would recommend it to new readers of thrillers or mysteries and to those needing a palate cleanser after a particularly long or challenging book.
Morgan suspects her husband of infidelity, but then he vanishes without a trace. Was Kyle truly unfaithful, or is there another explanation for his disappearance? The clock is running out to figure out what really happened… because she’s in trouble too.
A Little Getaway is a unique, fast-paced thriller. There’s constantly action going on, which keeps you on your toes so you don’t miss important details. Easy-to-read, short chapters help keep the reader engaged throughout. Described as a ‘spicy suspense’, I don’t really think the spice was that heavy (coming from an avid romance reader).
It’s definitely worth a read for a thriller that’s quick and engaging – especially if you’re trying to break a slump.
Thanks to NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for the opportunity to read this digital ARC. All opinions expressed are my own.
The title of this book is just perfect.
It is over the top in it's plot, pacy and really did get me away from life for a while.
A husband disappears after his wife usupects he hs cheating.. but where is he??
I loved this book. It is well written with some fabulous characters and is filled with drama with some added twists.
A Little Getaway is everything a reader needs in a book.. it's divine
This was a really good thriller. A wife suspects her husband of cheating, but then he also disappears. Was he really cheating or was something else going on? What happened to him? Is she in danger too?
This is very fast paced, which I loved. I have read so many books recently that are way too slow and this was the perfect pace. So much going on. So much mystery. It is told mainly from the wife’s point of view, but we also get the point of view of the reporter investigating what happened at times. I loved both of them.
I will say that when it got towards the end, it felt a little bit far fetched which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. Other than that, I really enjoyed this and would def recommend it.
Thank you to netgalley for this free advance copy in exchange for an honest review.
Oh this book was just fantastic!!!! I could not put it down. It was such a good storyline and the characters were fantastic. Such a good book.
Thank you NetGalley for the ARC. This was a fast paced thrilled that kept my heart racing. And it also had a very satisfying ending, which I appreciate!
A quick and twisty read that keeps you guessing. We follow Morgan as she goes through the different stages of figuring out what happened to her husband and who is trying to attack her. Along the way she works with a reporter whose POV we see as well, while she’s trying to figure out if Morgan is lying or not. No one is quite what they seem in this whodunnit.
This book was not spicy despite it being advertised as one lol. It was really quick paced though. From the first page it kicked off the storyline without dragging it out. This book reminded me a lot of the Freida McFadden books with the short chapters and all the twists.
Thank you to NetGalley for a chance to read this ARC.
Definitely not what I thought it was going to be but I loved it anyway! Loved the cover. It gives off spooky vibes which is great for spooky season
This story starts with Kyle's disappearance during their weekend away, so the tension is immediately palpable. Then you jump into the past and go back a month. Here you can read that Kyle and Morgan's marriage is no longer so good, and Morgan even thinks that Kyle is cheating...
Ultimately you read chapters in the present again and Tara comes across Morgan's path. Tara is a journalist trying to find out what happened to Kyle. And can Morgan herself be trusted?
I thought this story started very well and I was very curious to know what had happened to Kyle. I also thought Morgan was an interesting character, partly because of her past.
You don't really know who to trust and this keeps the story interesting. I did think that the plot would be very different and I don't really know what I think about this yet. Not that it's bad, but I had different expectations.
'A little getaway' was certainly fun to read and I think I will look for more from this author!
This English-language book will be published on October 9. A big thank you to @netgalley for the review copy!
I really enjoyed this book. It kept me engaged and it only took a few days to read. I think this is going to be a good book club option for several clubs. I plan recommending to my book friends and I look forward to reading more by this author.
👏🏻 Loved it! This book was absolutely fantastic. It dragged me and it kept me wanting more! I can't wait to check out more by this author.
Easy read with a fast writing style that doesn't stall. I have yet to decide if I think the FMC is likeable or not and there were parts that had me questioning whether she had all her mental faculties. Which, I'm okay with, it makes you stick with the story at least.
The plot was there and it showed up. It wasnt groundbreaking but I didnt need it to be. It wasnt really a suprise, but it was a getaway for the few hours I read it.
I read this in a single day! Easy quick read, but a very smart storyline!
Kyle and Morgan Murphy are the perfect couple with great jobs and a spicy love life, right? Suspicions and deceit can get the best of all of us, will they get the best of this power couple?
Thank you to NetGalley, Bonnie Traymore, and the publisher for this ARC in exchange for my honest review!
This was a very good domestic thriller!! A trip when one partner is already suspicious and awry of the other is interesting enough, now add in a kidnapping! Craziness. It is fast paced, full of secrets and mystery, so it kept me intrigued the whole time. I enjoyed this book, and the writing style of this author.
Thank you to NetGalley, the publishers, and especially the author for this ARC in exchange for my honest review of the book!!
4 stars ⭐️! Huge thanks to NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for the ARC of A Little Getaway by Bonnie Traymore. This book is set to release on October 9th, with 261 pages of suspense and twists.

Okay, let’s get into it. So, Morgan and Kyle Murphy’s marriage is on the rocks—he’s acting shady, and she’s suspicious AF. Is Kyle just busy with his project, or is there something way worse going on? The setup was intense: a wife convinced her hubby is cheating, then suddenly, he vanishes during their "getaway." The suspense is real, and the twists kept me flipping the pages!
I’ll be honest—this thriller definitely had me hooked, but at times, it got a little too wild and far-fetched for my taste, which is why it’s not quite a 5-star for me. The pacing though? Fast and furious. No slow-burn mysteries here! But as much as I enjoyed the chaos, some of the plot points felt a bit over the top. And the spice? Yeah, don’t get your hopes up; it’s more of a sprinkle than anything remotely spicy, lol.
Morgan is a character full of layers and her paranoia is actually relatable. Kyle though? Honestly, the dude’s a bit of a mystery, and I kinda wish we’d gotten more about him before he pulled his disappearing act.
Anyway, if you're into fast-paced thrillers with some wild twists, you should definitely check this one out! 💥
From the very first chapter, the reader is thrown into suspense. Many times, I thought I could predict what was going to happen next or how the story/plot was going to go and I was wrong every time. I love the strength of the WMC and how proactive she is throughout the book! I really felt like I could relate to her.
Very quick read! Would definitely recommend!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
A Little Getaway by Bonnie Traymore is a suspenseful mystery thriller packed with manipulations and secrets. I want to shout out to all the thriller readers who hate spice - there is the bare minimum of it so don't be scared!
The book grabbed my interest from the first pages, is fast-paced and there is constantly something happening. So no slow build-ups or backgrounds - it's straight in - BUM!
Easy to remember and follow characters, with constant action, just 2 points of view and mainly one timeline. Just loved it!
Morgan is madly in love with her husband Kyle so when she discovers he intentionally has affairs - she is heartbroken! Morgan was an interesting character and the way she looked at things was so cute! She called her friend Carla!
Carla is Morgan's best (probably only) friend and if Morgan learned something - you do not mess with Carla! Probably this is why Morgan feels she can trust her!
But then Kyle gets kidnapped and Morgan has no clue what the hell is going on!
Tara is passionate about her work, she is an investigative journalist and she will not let any story go cold! But even Tara will get confused by these twisted events!
Thank you NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for this copy!
This is my first novel by this author. I enjoyed it - not sure how I felt about the spicy description though?
This is a fast-paced psychological thriller that keeps you on edge from start to finish.
Traymore masterfully builds suspense through sharp, concise prose, and keeps the tension tight with unpredictable twists. I love the atmosphere and pacing, making it an engaging and quick read.
However, sometimes I did think that character development is sacrificed for the momentum of the plot.
Overall, it's a gripping, satisfying thriller.
Really enjoyed this book. It’s the story of Kyle and Morgan and how their little getaway leads them through love and espionage. It kept me guessing to the end. The characters were well defined and mostly relatable. The pace was fast. I read it in one sitting and recommend this book to everyone.
So many twists that I didn't see coming. Loved this story so much. Five stars across the board. I didn't know what to believe.
Thank you Bonnie Traymore and NetGalley for an ARC of A Little Getaway. This was my first Traymore book and I was not disappointed! A possible cheating husband who vanishes during a weekend getaway with his wife? I’m in.
I really enjoyed how the book ended. Although I usually like a good plot twist at the end of a thriller, I really admire how the ending of this book really ties the whole story together without leaving you asking unanswered questions. Bonnie did a great job at keeping you on the edge of your seat, wanting to solve the mystery of missing Kyle Murphy. Definitely will be reading more books from her in the future!
The first chapter of this book sucked me straight in.
I did not trust any character in this book apart from the journalist Tara. I just didn't know who to believe. Everyone just seemed dodgy to me.
I enjoyed this book and the ending surprised me and i'm glad it ended the way it did.
Thank you NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for the eARC.
This was my first Bonnie Traymore book. I enjoyed the pacing and layers of the mystery. When Morgan Murphy suspects her husband of cheating, she hatches a plan. When her plan doesn't go as intended, it takes her on a wild and unexpected ride. I did figure out one of the twists early on but that did not hamper my interest in reading the rest of the book. It was a fun book that held my attention and I finished it in less than a day. I will definitely read more of Traymore's books.
When I started reading this book, I wasn’t sure I was going to like it as the beginning felt a bit rushed. As the story went on and Morgan’s ‘friendship’ with Tara started to develop, I realised I was wanting to read on to find out what happened to Kyle. It was an easy read, with a good twist and I liked the ending, the epilogue especially.
Damn that Morgan Murphy! I struggled to get into this book, but after a few chapters, I couldn't put it down. I needed to know what happened to Kyle. Twisty-page turner with a little spice. I do think that the description of spicy suspense thriller was a little deceiving. Needed more spice! This was my first book by Bonnie Traymore. I'll definitely be adding more of her books to my TBR.
The ending of the book was magical. I'm still smiling.

Thank you for the opportunity to review this arc.
This was a well drawn out thriller. However, I just couldn't get into it and was hard to capture my attention as the plot kept changing too much and hard to focus.
Lovely book that everyone should read. The cover pulls you in immediately. I had heard about this author from tiktok. So glad to have received an ARC of this.
Thank you, Bonnie Traymore and NetGalley for the opportunity to read A Little Getaway: A Spicy Suspense Thriller and provide my honest feedback!
A Little Getaway is a fast paced thriller that had me hooked from the start. Morgan and Kyle Murphy have a loving passionate marriage, or so we think. One day things start to cool down and Morgan begins to suspect something is off. Kyle plans a romantic getaway to spice up their marriage and everything comes crashing down when Morgan is attacked and Kyle disappears. I didn’t anticipate the twists and turns that this story took!
A Little Getaway by Bonnie Traymore is a highly recommended suspense novel.
Morgan Murphy is concerned that her husband, Kyle Murphy, may be cheating. They have always had a spicy marriage but Kyle's attention has diminished lately. Morgan's friend Carla Flores, actually follows Kyle and does get photo of a woman that he may be involved with. While Morgan tracks her husband’s movements, he increases their life insurance policies and then surprises her with a weekend getaway.
At the resort cabin, Kyle disappears and Morgan is attacked and nearly kidnapped. Could Kyle be hiding something from her and is Morgan still in danger? And will investigative reporter Tara Harker from K-PAL, who is now following the case uncover what is really going on?
This is a fast-paced thriller that is best enjoyed after you set all disbelief aside and just go with the flow. There are plenty of unrealistic situations, but the fast pace, action, brief chapters, and short length means you can breeze through the novel quickly while following the various plot twists. Everyone has something to hide, no one seems trustworthy, and it is hard to know anyone can be believed. Even though the novel is subtitled "A Spicy Suspense Thriller" any spice is talked about rather than endlessly described.
None of the characters are likeable or that well-developed, but this makes sense with the abbreviated page count. Everyone in this novel is an unreliable character. Morgan is, however, an interesting character. Tara comes the closest to having some code of ethics later in the novel, but she starts out just in it for the story.
This is an excellent choice if you are looking for a quick, fast-paced novel of suspense. Thanks to BooksGoSocial for providing me with an advance reader's copy via NetGalley. My review is voluntary and expresses my honest opinion.
The review will be published on Barnes & Noble and Amazon.
This was a good book, it started off with the mystery then slowly guided the reader back through the plot. It was done really well.
Wow. This book started fast then got a little slow and then the last 30 percent really picked up again. I overall enjoyed this book. I like reading from Morgan’s perspective more than Tara’s though.
I wouldn’t call this spicy so don’t be thrown off by that part. If you want a quick thriller I would recommend this book. A good addition to your spooky season TBR
Thank you to NetGalley for providing me with this book in exchange for an honest review.
I really enjoyed this book. It was face paced & easy to read. So much drama with some really good twists. I was drawn in by the cover & it didn't disappoint, Would recommend this book in my book groups.
★★★★
Morgan and Kyle Murphy set off on a weekend getaway to escape their daily routines and rekindle their marriage. Although they have a happy relationship, Kyle has been distant and preoccupied lately, which leaves Morgan worried. Determined to uncover what he’s hiding, Morgan teams up with her best friend, Clara, to pressure him into revealing the truth.
However, the getaway quickly spirals out of control when Morgan is attacked and nearly kidnapped, and Kyle suddenly disappears from the resort. Desperate to find him, Morgan is left questioning everyone’s motives. Could the men she and Clara hired to teach Kyle a lesson be responsible for his disappearance? Or is it linked to Kyle’s stalled development deal with a shady investor? Why did Kyle increase their life insurance just days before vanishing? And are the police truly invested in finding him?
The story unfolds through two perspectives: Morgan’s and Tara’s. Morgan is a complex character—at times unlikable and untrustworthy. Many of her decisions seem erratic, yet the writing consistently drew me back in, prompting me to pause and reassess each new twist.
Tara, on the other hand, is a local reporter whose career was defined by a major story she broke a decade ago. Determined to prove her worth as an investigative journalist, she begins digging into Morgan’s past.
This was an engaging read, offering a fresh take on the typical domestic suspense setting. Bonnie Traymore skillfully maintained the tension and sense of mistrust throughout the story. Even in the final chapters, I found myself unsure of whom to trust. I also appreciated the dynamic between Morgan and Tara—it felt like a game of cat and mouse at times, yet they still managed to support each other in unexpected ways.
If you're looking for a unique domestic thriller, I highly recommend A Little Getaway. Thank you to NetGalley, BooksGoSocial, and Bonnie Traymore for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Really enjoyed this book from start to finish. Enjoyed the twists and turns along the way too. Easy read and I couldn’t put it down until I knew what had happened!
When I picked this up, I was looking for a thriller to get lost in, and this one did it!
I'm struggling with what to write because I don't want to give anything away, but.... possible cheating, disappearing husband, missing money, unsavory people, and a love for the ages pretty much sums this up. If you're looking for a page turner, give this one a shot!
Very fast paced, I read this book in a day. Wouldn't classify it as spicy, so that did make me nervous to read with it being a thriller but I loved it
This book was such a fast paced read and such a good thriller to read! I couldn’t put this down and finished it within a few hours!
I liked reading from Morgan’s perspective more but it was still a good dual POV.
It was a good spooky read but I wouldn’t say spicy really.
Overall good read thanks netgalley for the arc
A Little Getaway is a thriller where we see a breakdown of a marriage in asecluded beach resort. The story kicks off as Morgan becomes increasingly worried when she can't locate her husband, Kyle. Her anxiety escalates upon discovering blood in the bathroom, leading her to believe something terrible has occurred. While searching for Kyle, Morgan is attacked by a masked assailant but successfully escapes. Furthermore, she learns about a sizable life insurance policy in her name, fueling her concerns that Kyle may intend to harm her.
It’s my first book by Bonnie Traymore and I enjoyed it! It weaves together multiple timelines/POVs, and complex character relationships. The non-linear storytelling gradually exposes the characters' motivations and secrets, adding depth to the mystery and offering an engaging and satisfying read.
Thank you Netgalley and booksgosocialgroup for the advanced copy of the book. It is available now!!!
This book is a suspenseful, intriguing and mind-blowing read that hooked me from the very first page. The intricate plot and twisted narrative kept me on the edge of my seat, making it impossible to put down until I figured out the mystery.
The pacing is spot-on, keeping the tension high while introducing unexpected twists and turns that are completely unpredictable.
Also, I love that Philippines was mentioned in the book 🇵🇭💗
First, I would like to thank the author and NetGalley for providing me with a digital advanced reader copy in exchange for an honest review.
Morgan’s marriage has lost its mojo. Suspecting that her husband, Kyle, is cheating on her and knowing that he has increased their life insurance policies, she is surprised when he books a beach holiday during winter. She decides this is the perfect time to teach him a lesson and find out what he’s been doing. When she discovers blood in the sink and realizes Kyle is missing, she knows she will be the chief suspect even though she was nearly kidnapped herself. As she pieces together the mystery of what happened to Kyle and who would have a motive to kidnap him, protecting herself–from the kidnappers and from being charged–is paramount.
Morgan is a dynamic character. She is no saint, making her really interesting and questionably reliable as a narrator. Each of the characters has their own ulterior motives, and it is never clear who Morgan should trust.
A Little Getaway is marketed as a “spicy suspense thriller,” but it is not spicy at all. Morgan claims they have a “spicy marriage,” but aside from mentioning that they enjoy role-playing, there is no spice at all in the book. Not even fade-to-black. Of course, a book without spice is fine, but it was a misrepresentation of the content. I don’t read many spicy books, but I had been looking forward to seeing how Bonnie Traymore would incorporate the spice in this thriller and felt disappointed when it wasn’t included.
Fast-paced and full of suspense, overall, this twisty whodunnit and its morally grey cast of characters is a quick, fun read.
A woman suspects her husband of cheating and then he disappears. This book was so fast paced, which I love, and had me needing to know what would happen next! I would definitely recommend!
A fun, light and sometimes raunchy story. Very well written and a good mix of both genres. Would definitely read more by this author xx
A Little Getaway by Bonnie Traymore is a delightful escapade that perfectly blends romance and adventure. The story follows a couple as they embark on a much-needed retreat, encountering both challenges and heartfelt moments along the way. Traymore’s writing is engaging and lively, bringing the setting and characters to life with warmth and charm. With its mix of humor and emotional depth, this novel offers a refreshing escape that’s perfect for fans of lighthearted romance.
I love a classic "who done it?" and this fit the bill well for me. I love thrillers with some spice to them, so this was a great read for me!
This book starts off strong, slows down in the middle, but picks up again in the final 30%. The reader enjoyed it overall, preferring Morgan’s perspective over Tara’s. While not particularly "spicy," it's a quick, enjoyable thriller and a solid addition to a spooky season TBR. Recommended for those looking for a fast-paced read.
Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This was absolutely amazing! I was totally enthralled with this story from beginning to end, I could barely put it down, and when I finally read the last page, the house was dark, I was hungry, thirsty, needed to pee and my neck was stiff. But damn, it was worth it!
My first Bonnie Traymore book, I liked the synopsis so requested this.
I couldn't work out where this was going to go, it kept me thinking!
Who was guilty, who could be trusted??!!
I devoured this in 24hrs
4🌟
Talk about a spicy masterpiece. This is one you do not want to miss out on. I recommend this if you want a thriller that is hard to put down. Bonnie had a fantastic mind and you can sense her creativeness in this book and her work as an author!
This book is like a holiday you never knew you needed—until it catapults you onto a wild rollercoaster ride that leaves you breathless!
From the very first chapter, I was captivated. Traymore’s writing is sharp and engaging, bringing to life a vibrant cast of characters, each harbouring secrets that would make even the most seasoned gossip columnist raise an eyebrow. Who doesn’t love a little intrigue? It’s like spending a weekend with your nosy relatives, but instead of family squabbles, you’re treated to a thrilling mix of mystery and suspense!
The pacing of the book strikes the perfect balance—fast enough to keep you flipping pages like a child on Christmas morning, yet slow enough at times to build delicious tension. There are moments where the story takes a breather, but don’t get too comfortable; just when you think you can relax, Traymore throws in another twist that will leave you gasping.
While I enjoyed the twists and turns, I must admit that the last quarter of the book was a bit of a letdown for me. It ventured into territory that felt a little too far-fetched and strained my suspension of disbelief.
Overall, A Little Getaway is an exhilarating read that’s ideal for fans of suspense and mystery. So grab your favourite drink, settle in, and get ready for a getaway you won’t soon forget!
This was a fantastic book that should be hyped up more. I really enjoyed every second I spent reading it. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this ARC!

Loved it. I thought that it was an amazing read from start to finish. Will recommend to others.
