A sweet southern romance mixing the rich and the working class. You'll find out if love is powerful enough to conquer a domineering mother and single sisters supporting each other.

Finding out what real love and family is about seems to be the main theme of The Sassy Bride. Ashton is from a wealthy family and he loves Sadie tremendously. He loves her against his mother’s efforts to separate them. He loves her in spite of her lack of money. He loves her without the family support most people have. Ashton sees the real Sadie and how she took care of her sister when their mother left them alone to raise themselves.

Sadie refuses to date Ashton at first due to their ‘differences’ in life, but he does not give up. Neither does his mother in trying to break them apart. Sadie works at and has worked at a bakery to be able to support herself and her sisters. It takes Ashton a while to realize how her independence and the bakery is important to her. Along the way, Sadie realizes there is more to life than her independence, especially where her sisters and her aunt are involved.

This is my second Ciara Knight book and the first in the Magnolias and Moonshine series. Both have been very unique and extremely enjoyable. She seems able to write enjoyable books in a variety of genre. I look forward to reading more of her work.

Short and sweet, well with a pinch of sassy but still sweet.
This story served to remind me of how great it is to fight for and seize your happiness and in it, Ashton had to step up, lifestyles clashed, past grievances were settled and it was simply an enjoyable read.
Thanks Netgalley for the eARC.
